Klaxon Mutant Allstars

SF Music Day Performance Information

Education Studio: 1:30 – 2:00

The music of the Klaxon Mutant Allstars is a product of a new generation of eclectic-minded jazz musicians living in the technology-obsessed, genre-twisting, and multi-cultural mix that is the San Francisco Bay Area. With inspiration drawn from 1980s hip hop, to underdog baseball heroes, to the writings of David Sedaris, California politics, to covering local indie rock bands like Deerhoof, the Klaxons create music that is multi-pronged in its influences, vital in its relevance, and boldly points towards the future.

The band consists of Henry Hung on trumpet and efx,  Eric Garland on drums, Kasey Knudsen on sax and efx, Colin Hogan on keyboards and melodica, and  Dr. Georges Ban-Weiss or Sam Bevan on bass.
